Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is rumored to be carrying an under-screen camera (UDC) which is improved both internally and externally.
It’s been 3 months since the Galaxy Z Fold3 landed in Indonesia. However, Samsung is reportedly developing the latest generation of its foldable smartphone. The phone that may bear the name Galaxy Z Fold4 will reportedly come with more attractive specifications to premium consumers.
Quoted from Gizmochina (November 19), and upload on Naver from an account called Lanzuk reveals some of Samsung’s plans for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold4. In his upload, the leaker said the smartphone will launch around the third quarter of 2022. The
Galaxy Z Fold4 is rumored to be carrying an under-display camera (UDC) like the one used by its predecessor, but with internal and external upgrades. The overall camera setup is also getting an upgrade, which puts the Galaxy Z Fold 4 camera on par with other flagship cameras on the market today.
As a folding smartphone, Samsung will certainly improve the quality of the hinges used. This new hinge will likely reduce the weight of the phone. The new hinges will also bring increased water resistance and dustproof certifications that were previously absent from the Galaxy Z Fold lineup.
In addition, the tipster also hints at a battery capacity of 4400 mAh, the same as its predecessor. Smartphones may be priced lower, as Samsung wants to lower unit costs through mass production.
To note, Samsung previously announced that it would double production and sales of the Galaxy Z Fold lineup by 2022. If this planned upgrade goes ahead, the Galaxy Fold series will significantly increase in popularity and customer base.
