In a recent leak, Sony is rumored to be closing digital stores for PS3, PS Vita, and PSP this year. Sony has finally confirmed compatibility support for the PlayStation 5. As is known, most of the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro games will get this support.
This means that games on the PlayStation 3 and others will not receive this support. But, is there any other impact for gamers who still use PS3 consoles and PS Vita and PSP?
Wccftech (23/3) reports that some say Sony has decided to close their PS3, PS Vita, and PSP digital stores this summer. The PS3 and PS Vita digital stores will officially be discontinued in July, while the PS Vita digital stores will close in August.
However, Sony still has not made a statement regarding the news. They still haven’t denied or confirmed the rumors that have been circulating.
However, this is something that makes sense for Sony. This is because they have to spend extra money to keep their digital shop running. However, since PS3, PS Vita, and PSP have run out, there is no reason for the Japanese company to keep opening a digital shop for these consoles.
