SONY IS RELIEVING BIG FUNDS FOR EPIC GAMES

Recently it was reported that Sony had increased its investment of USD200 million for Epic Games after previously investing USD250 million. After news of the closeness between Microsoft and Hideo Kojima surfaced, Sony had other plans to secure the future of the game library through another company. They are rumored to have made a huge investment again for one of the popular game developers.

Sony seems to be eyeing one of the seasoned game developers, namely Epic Games. As is known, Epic had opened a new funding round some time ago. And they just announced the results recently. Epic said they had raised more than $ 1 billion in new funding. Of the latest total funding receipts, it is said that Sony invested USD200 million.

Wccftech (14/4) said that this does not include Sony’s previous investment. In the last funding, the Japanese technology company has also invested around USD250 million in Epic.

President and CEO of Sony, Kenichiro Yoshida, said that this investment is an important one for game content creators on all platforms.
