OPPO Watch Free will be released on September 26 in China

OPPO Watch Free will come with a vertically elongated screen display, rubber strap, and no physical buttons.

OPPO has officially announced the release date for its new smartwatch dubbed OPPO Watch Free in China. Through a post on Weibo, the company revealed the launch event would be held on September 26. This announcement is also accompanied by a device render that shows the appearance of the designed smartwatch.

Reporting from Gizmochina (September 25), the rendered image on the digital poster features a rectangular screen that extends vertically. At first glance, this shape is similar to the Huawei Watch Fit and realme Band 2.

While the screen is believed to be surrounded by a metal frame coated in black for the black and gold variant on the beige model. The smartwatch will not have physical buttons like the realme Band 2. Instead, users will be satisfied with a touchscreen display. In addition, the Watch Free features a textured rubber strap with bumps for air circulation and a comfort factor.

According to the same report, the Watch Free will have a sleep tracker that will allow users to wear it at night. However, whether the operating system is run, price, or available is not yet known in detail.

Rumor has it, other specifications may not be much different from the OPPO Watch 2. This indicates a cheaper price tag. In addition, apart from Watch Free, OPPO is also expected to launch the OPPO K9 Pro smartphone and smart TV on the same day.
