A unique variant of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti has arrived in Russia, selling for IDR 43.7 million.

Some time ago, I circulated an NVIDIA GPU with quite strange specifications. There’s reportedly a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU with a very different amount of VRAM than those on the market.

In a leak, there is a 20GB GeForce RTX 3080 Ti variant. As is known, the official variant of the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti launched by NVIDIA only has 12GB of VRAM.

But apparently, the existence of the GPU is true. In a software validation uploaded to TechPowerUp, there is indeed a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti variant with 20GB VRAM.

The variant uploaded belongs to Gigabyte, namely the Aorus GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Xtreme (GV-N308TAORUS X-20GD). Tom’s Hardware (September 8) reports that the regular GeForce RTX 3080 Ti device ID is 10DE 2208, and the 20GB version carries the identifier 10DE 2205.

The only difference between the two GeForce RTX 3080 Ti models is the amount of GDDR6X memory. The new variant has 20GB of GDDR6X memory, a 67% increase over the standard GeForce RTX 3080 Ti.

Interestingly, this GPU is reportedly only sold in Russia and is mostly sold to cryptocurrency miners. The shop that sells it is HARDVAR, located in Saint Petersburg, which has sold this GPU some time ago for USD 3067 or around IDR 43.7 million.

Unfortunately, there has been no official statement from either Gigabyte or NVIDIA regarding the existence of the strange GPU. It is still unknown whether this GPU will be sold only in specific regions or globally.
