In addition to introducing two MacBook Pro, Apple is also rumored to be introducing a Mac Mini that will use the M1X processor.
At WWDC 2021, fans were disappointed by Apple for not announcing the presence of the latest generation of MacBook Pro laptops. In various leaks, it is stated that this laptop will use the M1X processor.
Some believe that Apple will not launch its new line of laptops this year. But apparently, a leaker said that the company still has three other PCs set to launch this year.
Wccftech (June 20) reports, a leaker has information that the three PCs include two MacBook Pro models and one Mac mini, which will use the M1X processor. All three will reportedly introduce them in the early fourth quarter of 2021.
Leaker dylandkt said that the two MacBook Pro M1X models, which will likely include 14-inch and 16-inch versions, along with the Mac mini, will launch in late October or early November.
Given that Apple announced a PC with the Apple M1 processor on November 10, 2020, dylandkt prediction might be right. But a lot could happen in the coming months.
For example, both MacBook Pro M1X models are expected to have a mini-LED display like the iPad Pro M1. Unfortunately, Apple is experiencing supply issues with this particular component, and to mitigate those issues, they have reportedly added another supplier to help increase production.
That said, Apple isn’t expected to start mass production of its new portable Mac until late 2021. Since the Mac mini can’t be announced as a standalone product as it will take the spotlight off the MacBook Pro family, it’s likely to launch alongside the 14-inch and 16-inch notebooks.
Unfortunately, fans expecting Apple to unveil a workstation featuring their own proprietary processor will be sorely disappointed, as dylandkt stated that the iMac Pro would not be showcased at Apple’s upcoming event.
