M1X GPU CAN COMPETE NVIDIA RTX 3070

In recent news, the new GPU in Apple M1X will rival the performance of the NVIDIA RTX 3070 GPU.

Apple M1 SoC has shown its rise in various situations. The performance of this SoC can even beat old MacBook laptops that use Intel processors both in terms of CPU and GPU.

Some say the 8-core GPU present in the Apple M1 has the same capabilities as the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti desktop GPU, which comes with a TDP of 75W.

However, Apple doesn’t seem to be stopping there. As is known, they are currently preparing a new SoC, namely the M1X. This SoC is rumored to have two models with the code Jade C-Chpe and Jade C-Die.

Wccftech (June 7) reports, a YouTuber named Dave2D believes the SoC will have a GPU with a total of 32 GPU cores. Interestingly, this GPU will be able to draw up to 40 watts of power, which is said to compete with RTX 3070 laptops with 93 Watts.

The benchmark used to get this estimate is Aztec’s GFXBench 5.0 running at 1440p. In short, the M1X GPU consumes less than half the power of an RTX 3070 laptop but delivers nearly equivalent performance.

And for GPUs that come with 16 cores also get satisfactory results. With a TDP of 20 Watts, this GPU can compete and even outperform the Radeon Pro 5500M and GTX 1650 GPUs.

But for now, we don’t need to trust this information completely. We still have to wait for Apple to introduce their latest SoC to see the real performance officially. – M1X NVIDIA RTX 3070
