Mercedes-Benz – The core development of AI-based and deep learning in the LG ADAS camera module is also strengthened by various supporting features oriented towards driver safety.

Not only dwelling on consumer electronic products, but LG also presents products for industrial use. The South Korean company has just announced a module, the camera Advanced Driving Assistance System or ADASfor smart cars.

LG’s collaboration with Mercedes-Benz makes this smart camera module that supports driving comfort and safety can be found in the latest Mercedes-Benz C-Class 2021. As a driving support camera module, LG ADAS is claimed to bring the latest LG technological innovations.

This camera is equipped with motion detection technology, image recognition, cutting-edge connectivity, artificial intelligence (AI), and deep learning. LG’s track record in developing these various aspects enables the LG ADAS camera module to collect and process various traffic information to help drivers respond to these conditions in real-time.

The system built to support this LG camera module accurately recognizes the surrounding environment, continuously analyzes the vehicle’s position against moving or stationary objects, and automatically brakes when the signal detects a possible collision. The camera data also allows the system to alert drivers if they accidentally stray into the next lane or get too close to the vehicle in front.

The core development of AI-based and deep learning in the LG ADAS camera module is also strengthened by various supporting features oriented towards driver safety. In fact, LG ADAS already has two basic features that will be mandatory for new vehicles in many countries by 2022. Both are Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW). With the support of LG ADAS, these future features can already be enjoyed on the latest Mercedes Benz C-Class.

Building on the success of this partnership with Mercedes-Benz, LG stated that the Vehicle Components Solutions (VC) business unit would continue to expand cooperation with other global car brands such as Ford and Cadillac. The LG Magna e-Powertrain joint venture company even stated that it focuses on producing e-motors, inverters, onboard chargers, and e-drive systems for the electric vehicle market.
