Quoted by Goto5Google, it is said that it is trying to present a helpful feature that detects the index of Ultra Violet (UV) rays. As is well known, UV rays are light produced by the sun. So the presence of this UV light index feature is predicted to help measure the heat temperature in the environment and predict the effects on its users.

This means that on top of the Weather app, which shows the current conditions and temperature, the user can also check the UV index, ranging from O to +11. The ultraviolet index is an international standard that measures the strength of UV radiation that produces sunlight.

Starting today, Wear OS smartwatches can notify users of ultraviolet radiation at their location at any given time. The higher the UV index, the higher the risk of harm from exposure to unprotected sunlight. Even so, this new feature is now rolling out to all Wear OS smartwatches globally, but it may take a few days for iit to reach all users.

This news is not a mere rumor because Google has confirmed it via a tweet on the @WearOSbyGoogle Twitter account. – Google Smartwatch
