Google Pixel 6A Officially Launched, and the Specifications

At the Google I/O event just held, Google officially announced the latest smartphone, the Pixel 6A. This is a cheap smartphone alternative from the Pixel 6 series.

For specifications, this smartphone has a smaller screen that is 6.1 inches. The panel uses AMOLED, with a refresh rate of 60Hz, which is actually lower than the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, which have a refresh rate of 90Hz and 120Hz.

There is a camera frame with an elongated shape on the back that is still similar to the other Pixel 6 series. It is protected with Gorilla Glass 3 glass instead of Gorilla Glass Victus like its top two models. Inside, there are two camera sensors: a 12.2MP F/1.7 main camera supported by OIS and a 12MP F/2.2 Ultra-Wide camera. At the same time, the selfie camera uses an 8MP F/2.0 sensor.

The main engine uses Google’s own SoC, the Google Tensor SoC. This SoC was developed with a 5nm fabrication, with an Octa-Core 2.8GHz CPU and a Mali-G78 MP20 GPU. In addition, this device also has its own security chip, namely Titan M2. While on the memory side, the Pixel 6A uses LPDDR5 RAM with a capacity of 6GB and UFS 3.1 storage with a capacity of 128GB. The battery capacity is 4100mAh, with 18W charging. Unfortunately, it is not supported by wireless charging.

But for connectivity, this smartphone already has a 5G cellular connection. Another excellent feature is water and dust resistance with IP68 certification. The three colors available are Chalk, Sage, and Charcoal.

The device will be sold in the US, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Singapore, UK, Spain, Taiwan, Italy, and Puerto Rico. The price is in the range of IDR 6.5 million.
