In a recent report, Facebook is willing to spend IDR 322 billion to keep Mark Zuckerberg and his family safe. Being a famous person around the world is not a fun thing. This is because many people try to do something beyond reason that could make someone a victim. Moreover, this famous person is the owner of one of the largest social media companies in the world, whose platform security is now being questioned. Of course, the owner must have the best care.
And sure enough, the recent leak of the size of the security bill that Facebook has to pay to make sure Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his family stay safe is sticking out. Unmitigated, they are also willing to pay security companies in the amount of USD23 million or Rp332.4 billion per year. Of course, this amount was not a small amount to secure a person.
“He is synonymous with Facebook, and as a result, negative sentiment regarding our company is directly attributed to, and often diverted to, Mr. Zuckerberg,” said a representative for the Securities and Exchange Commission, as quoted by The Verge (11/4).
The company argued that Zuckerberg and his family’s high guarding rate was due to “travel protocol during COVID-19”. So they have to hire more people to make sure the man who is affectionately called Zuck and his family stays safe.
Although Zuck and his family remain safe, the fate of its users is very unsafe. You see, recently, hundreds of millions of Facebook user data have been leaked on the black market and can be accessed for free.
