Discord trial integration feature with YouTube

Discord trial integration feature with YouTube

In recent news, it is known that Discord made a new integration to bring videos from YouTube.

Discord is reportedly doing a new trial for their service. This time, they are testing a feature that will integrate with the popular video streaming platform, YouTube.

The feature is called Watch Together. With this feature, users will be able to create playlists of YouTube videos which can then be watched directly on the chat platform.

Engadget (September 23) reports that the feature is currently only available for friends and family servers. However, Discord is reportedly planning to roll out this feature to the wider Discord community in late October.

Interestingly, users can add videos to the server queue either by searching directly through the included interface or pasting a link from YouTube. So, users will find it easy to add videos.

Unfortunately, Discord didn’t say much about this test when asked for an official statement. They just said that they will always bring new innovations to the users.

However, it is not yet known whether this feature will last long on Discord. YouTube has not yet commented on this new Discord feature, considering that they have just asked to stop integrating other platform features on their platform.
