Apple releases new iPad Gen 9 and iPad Mini with USB-C

iPad Gen 9 – Another big change is in the camera sector. The front camera has a new 12 MP sensor with Center Stage, a feature present on the iPad Pro.

Along with the launch of other products, Apple also introduced the iPad 9th generation and iPad Mini to date. The two new tablets pack new features such as a faster chipset, better camera, and the new iPadOS 15 operating system.

The 9th generation iPad features a 10.2-inch Retina Display with the same size bezels as its predecessor. Because the bezel has not been streamlined, there is still a Touch ID feature on the bottom bezel. A new feature added is True Tone which automatically adjusts the color temperature based on the ambient light.

Reporting from Gizmochina (September 15), a major improvement occurs in the chipset new A13which delivers 20% performance in terms of CPU, GPU, and Neural Engine. The standard model now has 2x more storage so that users will get 64 GB of storage space instead of 32 GB.

Another big change is in the camera sector. The camera front has a sensor new 12 MP with Center Stage, a feature that came to last year’s iPad Pros that digitally pans the camera during video calls. At the same time, the rear camera has a resolution of 8 MP.

iPad 9th generation is compatible with the first-generation Apple Pencil and Apple Smart Keyboard. The price for this latest model iPad is USD 329.

On the other hand, the new iPad Mini is made with an updated design, with slimmer bezels and a larger screen, and features such as a USB-C port and 5G support. This tablet has an 8.3-inch screen, larger than the 7.9-inch screen on the previous model.

Although the screen is now bigger, the new iPad Mini is still comfortable to hold because of the slimmer bezels. The screen has a Liquid Retina Display instead of a Mini LED, as rumored. As the bezels are now slimmer, Touch ID is now located on the power button.

Apple has also improved the iPad Mini’s camera. The front camera has a 12 MP ultra-wide lens with Center Stage. There is also a 12 MP f/1.8 sensor with a 4K recording capability. Apple doesn’t say what type of processor it uses, but this tablet is claimed to have up to 40% higher CPU performance and up to 80% GPU performance.

The iPad Mini has support for 5G and Wi-Fi 6. It also has a USB-C port on the bottom and thus can be connected to a wider range of devices. Apple says it supports the second-generation Apple Pencil. Do not miss the stereo speakers in landscape position. The price for this new iPad Mini is USD 499.
