The Sleep application contained in the watchOS 9 system will track from time to time to get a value for the sleep quality of its users. In this update, users can also view sleep metrics and other data, such as heart rate and respiratory rate, in the health app on their iPhone.

Another health feature that comes with the watchOS 9 system is a history of atrial fibrillation (AFib). This feature will show how long the user has been in atrial fibrillation (AFib) state. In addition, the feature will also notify users of the time when AFib is most active.

This AFib feature will send weekly notifications for its users to get better information about their AFib frequency. The features in the Health App will display a detailed history of lifestyle factors that can affect the condition, such as exercise, sleep, and alcohol intake. Users can also download the information sent through this notification via PDF for further consultation with health professionals.

Apple is also introducing a Medication app for iPhone and Apple Watch, which is intended to let users track the time they take their medication. This application allows users to set specific schedules and reminders for certain drugs to be taken. In addition, this application will also warn users if there is a potential for critical interactions between the body and the drug they are adding.

To improve the watch face feature, Apple will present four new displays on the watchOS 9 system, namely Lunar, Playtime, Metropolitan, and Astronomy. While the Workout application improvements, watchOS 9 will allow users to structure their own exercise with training and rest intervals according to the user’s wishes through the custom workout feature. New alerts, including rate, strength, heart rate, and cadence, are also added to the latest features found in this Workout application.

Apple presents various improvements and updates in the smartwatch system that their side has just released. The watchOS 9 system will likely be available for Apple Watch models launched in late 2022.
