Apple completes development of a 5G modem

Apple 5G modem – In a recent leak, it turns out that Apple is said to have completed the development of a 5G modem and will be produced by TSMC.

Apple is known to have big ambitions for the iPhone. It is known, Apple’s ambition is to make the iPhone using components that are 100% developed internally. One thing Apple is pursuing is making its own modem. They even bought Intel’s network development business line to develop their own modem and will be completed in 2023.

Ubergizmo (November 25) reported that Nikkei received information that said TSMC was preparing to build a modem manufacturing facility. As is known, Apple partnered with TSMC to make the SoC. They said that now TSMC will start building Apple’s 5G modem using 4nm fabrication technology. They also seem optimistic that this modem will be launched on the iPhone 2023.

On the other hand, Qualcomm has also said some interesting things. They say they only expect to handle about 20% of the modems for the iPhone 2023. This means the Cupertino company has perfected their 5G modem design. However, whether this modem will meet their expectations and users or not is still unknown. – Apple 5G modem
