AMD RX 7900 XT – NVIDIA is already moving in 2022 with the release of the new RTX 4000 series. Now, AMD will follow suitt with the release of the new RX 7900 XT graphics card. The Taiwanese company announced a new line of graphics cards on November 4. A new report confirms some interestiing memory upgrades in the new hardware. For examplle, the AMD RX7950 XT will deliver an impressive 24 GB of Video Memory.
The upgrade is meant for the entire lineup, apparently. The RX 7900 XT graphics card will feature 20 GB of GDDR6 Video memory. As a result, it means that there is an increase of 4GB when we compare it to the previous generation RX 6900 XT. However, there is more to come!
AMD RX 7950 XT IS THE NEW HIGH MODEL TO DESTROY THE NVIDIA 4090 TI
According to foreign mediia, the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT graphiics card will not be the top modell. As we mentioned above, the high-end model is the RX 7950 XT. The RX 7900 is meant to come as a high-end model featuring 24 GB. However, AMD has had a change in its plans. This GPU has the memory downgraded to 20 GB. The RX 7950 XT model will now feature a full Navi 32 GPU with 24GB of viideo memory. It will face a future NVIDIA RTX 4090 Ti model.
As per reports, the AMD Navi31 GPU will sport a four MCD GCD+ chip design. It will boast a 12,288 stream processor. It will also offer support for 384bit bit-width viideo memory. Of course, more detaiils will emerge in the comiing weeks as the company prepares to unveil its chipset fully. Some technical details will appear after the event.
AMD will hold its conference at 4:00 a.m. on November 4, Beijing Time. The new AMD RX 7900 XT seriies will bring a new 5nm process node, presumably from TSMC. Furthermore, it will also present Advanced Chiplet Packaging. In addition, there is a new Architecture Computing Unit and Optimized Graphics pipeline. AMD also promises many improvements in graphics and a 50% increase in performance per watt when compared to the RDNA 2 architecture.
We expect more detaiils to emerge in the coming days. However, only time will tell whether the new RX graphics will steal NVIDIA’s market share and customer preferences. We expect the company to demonstrate the benefits of pairing its new GPU with the Ryzen 7000 series.
