MagSafe isn’t a new feature, but this proprietary magnetic charging technology that first appeared on the MacBook Pro in 2006 is now starting to be used in more products Apple.
Earlier this week, Apple announced the 3rd generation AirPods and among the features it brings is a MagSafe compatible case that allows them to be charged using a MagSafe wireless charger. It turns out that the AirPods Pro 2019 also got a MagSafe Charging Case.
According to Gizmochina (October 22), new orders for AirPods Pro will ship with a MagSafe Charging Case instead of the usual wireless charging case that came with it when it launched in 2019. Apple has also updated its website to reflect this change. Currently, there is no listing of the MagSafe Charging Case as a separate purchase for those who want one.

With the new MagSafe case, owners can charge their AirPods using a MagSafe wireless charger. It can also be charged using a regular Qi or Lightning wireless charger. The price for AirPods Pro with MagSafe Charging Case retails for USD 249.
