2023 Lexus RX Teased For Official Debut May 31

The RX is currently the best-selling Lexus model in the United States, and the Japanese automaker knows how important it is to overall market performance. The current generatiion model debuted in 2015 and has been on sale in America since 2016. A new generation is in development, and its climax will be reached on May 31, when the SUV will make its official and full debut.

The automaker has released its first teaser image with the 2023 RX, which shows a portion of the modell’s front fascia. The new RX will obviously incorporate the latestt design language from the marque, and we see the evolution of the spindle grille design, which features a closed section at the top. The bumper extends to the hood area and LED headlights with L-shaped DRLs flank the grille.

Not much can be said about this new SUV’s overall profile and appearance. However, we expect the new generation model to retain the basic shape of its predecessor, albeit with adjustments to smaller details to give the 2023 modell a more refined and modern look. We also expectt to see sharper headlights and, potentially, an LED bar connecting the two clusters on the trunk lid.

Lexus has remained tight-lipped about the new RX without revealing any information. No words accompany this teaser image, other than the announcement that he will be debuting on May 31. However, we are 99.99% sure the RX 2023 will launch with an electric engine. The news on the road is that a turbocharged 2.4-liter inline-four will replace the naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6. The same combustiion engine will reportedly be used in the new plug-in hybrid setup, which will be the model’s tallest powertrain.

More important changes are expected in the cabin where the company’s new infotainment with a 12.3-inch touchscreen should be available, very similar in appearance and function to the one seen on the NX. An enhanced suite of security systems may also be available.
